The townhouse, located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, is a whopping six stories high and 6,900 square feet, which is colossal for that part of New York.  The Georgian-inspired limestone mansion was built in 1910, and boasts, in addition to the copious square footage, 1,000 square feet of terraces and outdoor space, a wine cellar, heated tile flooring, and multiple kitchens.  Listing details on the “main” kitchen report a massive Carrara marble center island one could eat at if one wanted, commercial grade appliances, a 150-bottle wine fridge (this is in addition to the wine cellar), custom cabinetry and shelving, and a walk-in pantry.  The listing agents (those likable Kleier girls from Selling New York) report the house has undergone a complete rebuild.  Lagasse is expecting to turn a profit of about $3 million for all the work he’s done to it.
